mSpy is a smartphone spying app for iOS and Android devices. It spies on chatting apps like Skype, WhatsApp, and Viber, social media networks like Snapchat, emails, YouTube video history, calendar events, phone call logs, installed apps, WiFi connection history, and SMS text messages.

The top 3 mSpy alternatives include uMobix, Eyezy, and SpyBubble. The top 3 alternatives to mSpy are listed below with their strengths.

  1. uMobix (best for iOS devices such as iPhone & iPad)
  2. Eyezy (least expensive)
  3. SpyBubble (more iOS monitoring features)

uMobix and SpyBubble are the top alternatives to mSpy because they offer more monitoring features on iOS devices for a similar price. Eyezy is seond place because it is 20% less expensive than mSpy and offers the same cell phone monitoring features.

Below AdjustYourPrivacy reviews the top 9 alternatives to the mSpy app for Android and iOS based smartphones and mobile devices.

1. uMobix vs mSpy

umobix logo

uMobix is the best mSpy alternative for iPhones and Android devices. The main differences between uMobix and mSpy are the number of features, ease-of-installation, and customer support.

uMobix is designed to monitor the smartphone of an employee, child, or loved one. Its’ features include:

  • GPS location tracking
  • Text and social media chat monitoring
  • phone call tracking
  • viewing web browser history
  • Social media account monitoring

uMobix offers more spying features, an easier installation process, and responsive customer support.

Below we discuss the differences between these two spy apps on both iOS and Android phones.

Why is uMobix Better than mSpy on iOS Devices?

For iOS devices, the biggest difference between uMobix and mSpy is the number of social media apps you can monitor. uMobix tracks messages and conversations on Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Skype, and Instagram.

uMobix also offer Facebook account navigation. This means you can access the phone’s Facebook account as though it were your own.

The security features built into Apple’s iOS operating system are very powerful, but the uMobix engineering team developed ways to track all of these apps without jailbreaking the phone.

mSpy only tracks WhatsApp conversations.

Why Is uMobix Better Than mSpy on Android Devices?

uMobix offers the same features as mSpy on the Android platform. One notable difference is the installation of the app itself. mSpy’s app requires several minutes to install while uMobix can be installed in about one minute.

Both companies offer 24/7 chat support.

When compared head to head, uMobix clearly outperforms mSpy on both platforms. For more information check out my uMobix review.

2. mSpy vs Spybubble

Spybubble is a spy app that is compatible with iPhones and Android devices. The main difference between Spybubble and mSpy are the number of features available on iOS devices.

The chart below shows the features for both Spybubble and mSpy on iPhones and iPads.

Why is SpyBubble a good alternative?

SpyBubble offers more spying features, an easier installation process, and responsive customer support.

Below we discuss the differences between these two spy apps on both iOS and Android phones.

3. mSpy VS FlexiSPY

flexiSPY logo

mSpy performs very well head to head with FlexiSPY. Both apps offer similar features when the target device is not rooted or jailbroken.

FlexiSPY significantly outperforms mSpy for users who are willing to jailbreak or root the target device.

FlexiSPY’s Advanced Features

The FlexiSPY Extreme Package is the most powerful spy app currently available. And at $349 per year it’s also one of the most expensive spying apps out there.

FlexiSPY Extreme allows you to intercept calls, record calls, and turn on the target phone’s microphone to listen to the ambient surroundings. mSpy doesn’t offer any of these features, even in their jailbreak and root versions.

In terms of support reliability mSpy and FlexiSPY are very evenly matched. But if you’re looking for the ultimate monitoring solution, no matter the cost, FlexiSPY wins quite easily.

For more information on FlexiSPY’s features and compatibility check out my in-depth FlexiSPY review.

4. Spyic vs mSpy

spyic logo

The Spyic phone monitoring software is another alternative to mSpy. SPYIC is slightly cheaper, and can monitor more social media networks on iOS devices.

Here’s how SPYIC and mSpy compare head to head on the two most popular phone operating systems.

Why is Spyic a good alternative?

Spyic offers more spying features and a simpler installation process.

Below we discuss the differences between these two spy apps on both iOS and Android phones.

SPYIC vs mSpy on iPhone

Spyic and mSpy both track iOS devices by accessing their iCloud backups.

SPYIC monitors text messages, iMessages, phone call logs, GPS location, LINE chats, and Whatsapp chats. mSpy cannot monitor LINE.

SPYIC’s price for 12 months of monitoring on iPhones is $129.99. The comparable plan with mSpy costs $139.92.

SPYIC vs mSpy on Android

SPYIC and mSpy both require physical access to Android devices to install the app.

The features offered by SPYIC are identical to those of mSpy on the Android platform. However, the installation process for Spyic is faster and easier.

SPYIC’s Android monitoring will cost you $119.99 vs $139.92 with mSpy. For a more detailed look at features check out my SPYIC review here.

4. mSpy vs Spyzie

spyzie logo

While Spyzie makes the list of my top spying apps, it doesn’t really offer anything that you can’t get in a cheaper or more reliable app.

The company was recently purchased by the Wondershare family of products which includes Famisafe and Dr. Fone.

mSpy offers more parental control options than Spyzie. This includes screen time monitoring and control of which apps can be used on the phone.

5. mSpy vs Cocospy

cocospy logo

Cocospy is another of my top picks for discrete cell phone monitoring. In terms of features and prices it is EXACTLY the same as SPYIC.

Cocospy vs mSpy on iOS Devices

Cocospy offers the same features as mSpy on iOS devices that are not jailbroken. You can monitor chats on Line and Whatsapp, phone call logs, text messages, contacts, and GPS location.

Unlike mSpy, Cocospy does NOT offer a jailbreak version of their software. So if you need to see more than what’s listed above, uMobix or the jailbreak version of mSpy will be your best bet.

Cocospy vs mSpy on Android Devices

On the Android operating system Cocospy offers the same functionality as mSpy at a slightly lower cost.

You’ll be able to see Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Whatsapp, and quite a few other social media chat apps without the need to root the phone.

Check out my Cocospy review for a more in-depth look at their software.

6. mSpy vs SpyHuman

The main difference between mSpy and SpyHuman is the price. mSpy is more expensive, and doesn’t offer any additional features.

SpyHuman offers features like viewing call logs, text messages, social media logs, and more with the added addition of being available on iOS devices.

mSpy is very limited when it comes to iOS features and functionality.

7. mSpy vs WebWatcher

Webwatcher works a bit differently than most of the cell phone monitoring solutions out there. While it does NOT require you to root or jailbreak the target device, there are some very definite drawbacks.

Monitoring software like uMobix and mSpy will use whatever data connection the phone currently has to update location data, texts, social media messages and more.

Webwatcher will ONLY update this information when the cell phone is on the same WIFI network as the computer you used to setup the software.

This means that you’ll have to wait to the user is back home before you will see any information from their phone.

This could be a OK for some parental control monitoring needs, but if you need to see this information in real-time you’re better off going with uMobix or mSpy instead of Webwatcher.

8. mSpy vs iKeyMonitor

ikeymonitor logo

The main difference between mSpy and iKeyMonitor is the number of monitoring features you get without jailbreaking or rooting the phone.

iKeyMonitor has been around for over a decade. They offer one of the only FREE spy apps on the market. The free version is VERY limited though.

The features offered by the iKeyMonitor app are more advanced than mSpy, especially when it comes to iPhones. Some features do require jailbreaking the device, but you will get total access to everything on the phone. Check out my iKeyMonitor review for more information.

9. mSpy vs Highster Mobile

Anyone who’s read my Highster Mobile review will know that this company’s products are poorly made and their customer support is non-existent.

Highster Mobile was one of the first monitoring apps I tried and I was never able to get it to work. They’re tech support NEVER answered any of my requests for help and they refused to give me a refund.

I would recommend uMobix, mSpy, FlexiSPY or ANY other monitoring solution before Highster Mobile.

In Conclusion

As you can see there are plenty of solid mSpy alternatives available. My favorite by far is uMobix, as it offers more features at a better price.

If you need more features like call recording, and ambient listening capabilities then I would recommend FlexiSPY.
